About Absolutely WI

Welcome to Ferndown's branch of the Women's Institute.

We are one of the largest and friendly WI's in Dorset. Absolutely WI was started in October 2009 and has grown from there. We are a modern WI with a great Committee who organise all our meetings and crafts, quizzes, events and outings for all our members. We are a group where you can find friendship, a sense of belonging and learn new crafts – your membership gives you access to all this.

Absolutely WI provide members with monthly meetings, interesting and enlightening talks, fun outings and numerous activities, including dining events.

At Absolutely WI our members are different ages and diverse roles each one bringing their own personal  life experiences to the group. There is no such thing as a typical WI member.

Our committee is dedicated to providing a flexible WI which is responsive to the views of its members.

Come and find out for yourself, we meet every month – on a Wednesday- at 7.30 pm at the Barrington Centre in Ferndown.

Please use the menu bar above to look around our website.

We do lots of different activities during the month, you can choose what you like - and if you don't see one you like there is always room for more. We are always ready to listen to our members and add more activities if viable.

Remember, the only limit at Absolutely WI is your imagination!
