Welcome to Absolutely WI. Based in Ferndown, the WI was started in 2009 and our members have swelled to over 130.
In line with curent guidance, Absolutely WI have taken the decision to cancel ALL events in March and April. We will keep all members updated as appropriate.

Change of meeting location
Following the unexpected closure of the Barrington Theratre in Ferndown, your committee have sourced a new location for the monthly meetings to be held. There is a spacious, clean hall and we will also have tea and coffee facilities for break time.

There is a large car park which although full in the day time, is vacated in the evenings. The entrance is almost opposite West Parley Memorial Hall

About Absolutely WI
It's not just Jam and Jersulam
Welcome to Ferndown's very own branch of the Women's Institute.
We pride ourselves to be one of the largest, most active and most prolific WI's in Dorset. Reformed under a modern format, Absolutely WI was started in October 2009 and has continues to blossom from there. We are a WI with a modern twist, a team of ladies who stand for friendship, self-development and a mutual sense of belonging; all of the things which are good about the traditional WI.
Absolutely WI seeks to provide members with interesting and enlightening talks, fun outings and numerous activities; including walking groups, book clubs, shopping trips and dining events.
Our branch acts as a place for like minded ladies to meet old friends and make new ones, whilst pursuing activities as a group.
Absolutely WI members span all ages and roles, from young professionals to working Mums to retirees; each one bringing their own personal and diverse life experiences to the group. There is no such thing as a stereotypical WI member.
Our committee is dedicated to providing a flexible WI which is responsive to the views of its members.
